Our Mission

As a nonprofit organization, America'sHealth has a two-part mission:

Better Outcomes
We strive to improve patient outcomes in a clinically significant way without increasing healthcare costs. Clinically significant outcomes are substantial improvements patients and their physicians can readily see that avert or delay morbidity and, in some cases, extend life.

Lower Costs
We work to find opportunities to reduce direct healthcare costs, while maintaining patient health outcomes. For example, innovative payment mechanisms, system processes, benefit designs, or drug regimens may all maintain outcomes while lowering direct costs.

And sometimes the two come together, to everyone's benefit. With major disease states, such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease, when clinically significant improvements in patient outcomes are achieved, direct healthcare costs often decrease—benefitting both patients and payers.
